Ring Sizing Guide

Selecting your ring size

Ring sizing can be a tricky business! Ideally we would prefer to measure your ring size in store but we understand that sometimes this isn’t possible so there are other ways to measure your ring size.
Preferably, for accuracy, we would like the inside diameter of the ring to be measured in millimeters as this is the most reliable sizing available.
If you live in New Zealand we can either send you our ring sizers so we get the correct size to work from or we can send you one of our handy multi-sizer tools.

Factors that may affect your ring size

  • Arthritis
  • Pregnancy
  • Fingers swelling due to exercise, or hot weather or water retention
  • Width of the ring  (i.e. If you are measuring your ring size on narrow ring sizers (3mm or less)  but your ring is going to be made 5mm  we advise you to add half a size to allow for the extra width on your finger. For widths 7mm or larger add 1 size.)

Is the ring a surprise?

Try and find a ring that fits and bring it to us for sizing. Preferably fitting the right finger, otherwise we can make a close guess to what the correct ring size will be. Should the size be incorrect at least only a small adjustment will have to be made once the recipient has received the ring.
If you are in New Zealand we can also send you a ring sizing stick so you can measure a ring that the recipient already has. Again if this isn’t this the correct finger we can make a close guess to what the correct ring size will be. Should the size be incorrect at least only a small adjustment will have to be made one the recipient has received the ring.
